1) When did you begin your collection and which was your first vinyl?
I started listening to Heavy Metal when I was 14 years old, in 1986 and the very first Heavy Metal song I' ve ever listened to was "Battery" by METALLICA. My first vinyl was "The best of Judas Priest" which I bought in 1988.
2) Which are your most favorite 5 vinyls? (Or the ones you listen to the most)
This is the most difficult question I've ever been asked!!! Let's try and answer!!!
- SLAYER - "Reign in Blood".
- METALLICA - "Master of Puppets".
- IRON MAIDEN - "Killers".
- BLACK SABBATH - "The Eternal Idol".
- QUEENSRYCHE - "Operation: Mindcrime".
3) What are the 5 vinyls of your collection that you consider the rarest?
- ARTCH - "For the Sake of Mankind".
- VENOM - "Welcome to Hell" (Purple Vinyl).
- RAZOR - "Armed and Dangerous".
- SATYRICON - "Dark Medieval Times" (with Poster).
- EXPLORER - "Symphonies of Steel" (HHH Records).
4) What are the titles of the 5 vinyls that had the hardest time finding?
- VARIOUS ARTISTS - "A Tribute to Venom - In the Name of Satan" (LP).
- MORGANA LEFAY - "Symphony of the Damned" (MINI-LP).
- BLACK SABBATH - "Cross Purposes" (Original UK press - LP).
- THE DOGS D'AMOUR - "How Do You Fall in Love?" (7 inch released only in Finland on Kumibeat Records).
- VOIVOD - The Outer Limits" (LP).
5) Which record changed, or influenced, your life?
IRON MAIDEN - "Live After Death".
6) Which record do you have which you thought did not exist?
RAGE - "Black in Mind".
7) What's the stupidest question you have been asked when people see your collection? "Do you just buy your records and keep them as collector's items or do you also listen to them?" 8) Is it better a one night stand with a gorgeous woman or adding a rare vinyl to your collection?
Hard to say... What a difficult interview!!! I'm a Latin Lover Vinyl Collector!!!
9) What is the one thing that would make you give up your records?
Right now, I cannot think about nothing that would stop my die-hard collecting. As you may witness, if music labels do not print vinyls, then I start my own label and print myself the wanted vinyl.
10) Do you ever feel bad for all the money you have spent on your vinyl collection?
Feeling bad for all the money spent??!! The answer lies in the following lyrics by METALLICA:
"No Remorse, No Repent
We Don't Care What It Meant"
(Taken from the song "NO REMORSE" on the album "KILL' EM ALL). |
